COURSE: Flat, fast, beautiful 6 mile course with views of Mt. Shasta & Lake Siskiyou. Mostly shady dirt trail with room to pass. Water Station at 3.3 miles. Dogs can also get water at a drinking fountain at 2 miles, the delta at 3 miles, and a stream at 5 miles.

  • 2.4 miles south & slightly west of Mount Shasta.

  • I-5 Exit #738. Turn West onto Hatchery Ln. for 0.2 mile.

  • Turn South on S. Old Stage Road 0.2 mile.

  • Veer Right onto W.A.Barr Road 2.0 miles.

  • Park just north of Box Canyon Dam. After Parking, walk ½ mile south across Box Canyon Dam to the Start.

Wagon Creek Bridge – Mile 5


  1. All dogs must be on a 6 foot line, maximum length (no retractable leashes).

  2. Maximum 2 dogs per runner.

  3. Vaccinations must be current.

  4. Dogs that bite, or are in heat, should not be entered.

  5. Lead Dogs nose determines the finish time


Pets and owners should go at a pace they have trained for. Stop for water. Dogs younger than 1 year should not be run hard as their bones and joints are not fully developed. If your dog pulls, a harness will protect his wind pipe. Racing harnesses are available at www.adanacsleds.com. Warm up your dog and clean up their waste before the race.

In consideration of your acceptance of my entry, I, the undersigned, do hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators, waive and release forever, any and all rights and claims, demands and any other actions, I may have against the Siskiyou Snow Dog Sporting Association, Siskiyou County, Reynolds Resorts, all participating sponsors, and the officers, employees, agents and volunteers of such parties arising from participating and traveling to and from this event, including any and all injuries I or my dog(s) may suffer. I verify that I, and my dog(s), are medically able and sufficiently trained for this event and that I have full knowledge of the risks involved in participating, including, but not limited to, those caused by terrain, wildlife, pets, weather, vehicles, other participants, lack of hydration, and hypothermia. I assume those risks and will assume and pay my and my pets medical expenses in the event of an accident, illness, or incapacity, regardless of whether I have authorized such expenses. If I require medical attention. I hereby give my consent to authorize medical personnel to provide such medical care as deemed necessary. I agree to maintain safe practices for the protection of myself, my dog(s), other participants, observers, sponsors, and hosts.
