Announcing the 2013 Siskiyou Sled Dog Races! Feb. 9th & 10th. We invite you and your team to compete in the Siskiyou Sled Dog Races -the SSDSA annual 2013 race event! Check this website often for breaking news of snow conditions and Musher Entries.
The Siskiyou Sled Dog races will start and finish at the Deer Mountain/Chuck Best Snowmobile Park Trailhead unless snow conditions are not acceptable there. We have two other locations on our permit in case this happens. The success of any endeavor is directly proportional to the volunteers and sponsors who give and participate so selflessly. We know we could not do this without you. Our 2013 goals continue to be holding a dog and musher friendly event, which will be both educational and fun for spectators.

Tentative Schedule (these times may change so check our website often)
RACING SCHEDULE – Saturday and Sunday
9:00 AM Start – 18 mile – 16 Dog
10:00 AM Start – 13.5 mile – 6 Dog Mid Distance
11:00 AM Start - 5 mile – 4 Dog Sprint
12:00 PM Start - 5 mile – 1 or 2 dog – Skijor
1:00 PM Start - 5 mile – 6 Dog Sprint
2:00 PM Start – 10 mile – 8 Dog Sprint
Awards Ceremony will be at the close of all the races on Sunday in the trailhead warming hut. This will be an Awards Event only (no cash prizes – sorry).
Please send in your Bio and Picture to info@siskiyousleddograces.net prior to the races – We want to put them on our website – Mail your entry form to the address below. Race entries accepted right up to race time.
We are pleased that Allen Iverson will be our Race Marshal and Sandi Iverson will be the dog truck parking overseer.
